Eeriels are one of the oldest surviving species in Faia. At night, they love to float on the surface of the water and stargaze. The Yfalos clan believes they do this to read the prophecies of the stars, claiming to hear poems and whispered messages whenever they are near. Eeriels are highly respected throughout the realm, but especially among the Yfalos clan, who have taken on the role of their protector in recent years.
Before the arrival of the Lightkeepers, each island functioned in its own little bubble with its own seasonal system. For centuries, Eeriels have lived off the coast of Aurelia. Each year, they have taken a great migratory journey South in order to escape Aurelia's (unknown, pre-Lightkeeper) seasonal conditions. However, with the new universal seasonal system, this journey is extremely detrimental to Eeriel survival. Their destinational island is still withered and unexplored. In Frost Season, waters around the withered areas they arrive at freeze, forming a thick layer of ice. Eeriels are something of a claustrophobic species, known to panic if trapped. This state of high stress can lead to depression, paranoia, starvation, and more. A migratory journey that once ensured the Eeriels' survival is now putting it at stake.
The Yfalos clan noticed the Eeriels' annually dwindling population almost immediately, and took action. It is common knowledge that Eeriels are attracted to music, and will even stop to join in and sing. In order to delay the annual Eeriel migration as much as possible, the Eeriels' Ballade was put together. During the Ballade, Faian volunteers are transported underwater via floating bubbles and provided various magical resources to enable underwater living. Together, clan members and visiting Faians prepare instruments as well as accommodations for visitors and Eeriels alike. When the time comes, a perpetual melody floats from within the gates of Yfalos, attracting any Eeriels that pass by. The music continues until the migration fully halts in Yfalos. Eeriels are pampered with food and fun, until eventually they turn back home instead of continuing their migration.
The Eeriels' Ballade was born out of desire to save a species, but today, it takes on a much more positive tone on top of its purpose. The Ballade is a unique musical experience unparalleled by any concert or musical gathering, widely enjoyed by musicians and music lovers across the realm. It is even rumored that Eeriels now migrate with Yfalos as their new destination, knowing there will be music and food aplenty. Nobody really knows for sure, but even if this be the case, the Ballade continues annually with the same vibrant spirit.

The Eeriels' Ballade has finally begun! Faians from all around the Realm gather on the coasts of Lylluna, waiting for transportation into the underwater city of Yfalos. Indeed, Yfalos' residents are hard at work preparing air bubbles, water breathing potions, accommodations for both Faians and Eeriels, and the music itself. They could use a hand!

Make some noise! For this year's activity, we are doing a giant collab artwork to celebrate the music of the Ballade. Participating will earn you extra Raffle Tickets as well as a spot in the final music scroll of 2026!
How It Works
1) Base: Download the base (music score background) here!
2) Draw: Draw your Faian on top of the base playing an instrument, singing, or making music in general! Please make sure the artwork is not cut off at any edge (the entire fullbody should be within the canvas).
3) Submit: Upload the finished artwork to this prompt as well as this Gallery. At the end of the event, everyone's segments will be stitched together to form a giant scroll of music!
