Bongo's Traveling Circus

With the Archmages away at Wingwatch for so long, spirits are at an all-time low back at the Mage's Academy. An overwhelming sense of doom and gloom hangs over everyone's shoulders... until a strange tent pops up overnight. A traveling circus tent. It announces its presence early one morning with a sudden symphony of toots and honks, waking every Faian in the eastern wing. A crowd gathers around the tent, and out steps Bongo, an unnaturally large Lumendra dressed as a clown. He hops onto the ticket booth and begins to wave his front paws in the air, catching the crowd's attention.

"Come one, come all! Hello, stressed little mages!" his surprisingly booming voice echoes across the gardens. Several sudents cover their ears. "Your masters are out fighting the darkness, but who says you have to wallow in it? I have come to provide entertainment during this stressful time. Your studies can wait! Your professors can wait! For it is time to bask in the glory of BONGO'S TRAVELING CIRCUS!"

His announcement is met by a wall of blank stares. Perhaps this is because his audience is still groggy and half-asleep. But most likely, it is because they have never heard of Bongo, or his traveling circus, or anything of the sort appearing on Academy grounds. Bongo clears his throat, evidently expecting much more enthusiasm. "Tough crowd! Tough crowd!" he hollers. "Fear not! A true showman loves a challenge!"

Bongo motions with one of his paws, and the doors to the tent flap open. The crowd gasps lightly, then begins to "ooh" and "aah" in earnest. The tent is much larger than it appears to be, evidently using magic. Inside, there are three stages, each with a large array of props and performers. To the left, there is a wooden stage labeled "Comedy" by a large, crooked sign. A bright spotlight shines down on a Tortuvina struggling to juggle maraccas and protesting Mushbuns. In the center, there is the "Mystery" stage, lit only by the light of the masked performers. To the right, a shimmering rain pours down on the "Tragedy" stage, where three Candle Noodles twist and twirl in sync.

"Now that's the reaction I was looking for!" All eyes, now sparkling with interest, turn to Bongo. "Whatever entertainment you seek, we provide! You are all welcome anytime, day and night. For it is time to bask in the glory of BONGO'S TRAVELING CIRCUS!" This time, the crowd errupts into applause.

This is an Artfight-adjacent event! The primary way to participate is simply to create Artfight attacks featuring Faian characters. You can then cross-submit those attacks to our event prompts for lots of extra goodies!
