Rite of the Reef
The arrival of Bay Season brings with it a tradition of profound cultural significance: The Rite of the Reef. Generations ago, when Faia was smothered by wither, the Lightkeepers brought warmth and life back to the Realm, one island at a time. The Rite honors these efforts, celebrating light and uniting Faians together in shared purpose.
The Rite of the Reef occurs annually in Lylluna Reef, an island that has long since been considered the heart of Faia. Each night of the Rite, Faians gather on Lylluna's outer beaches and release their lanterns to the ocean. In this unified act, Faians from around the Realm create a tangible connection to their shared purpose, the floating lanterns not only symbolizing their achievements thus far, but each Faian's continued commitment to the Lightkeeper cause.

The Vanishing Light
Preparation for Alastor's spell continues, as countless Faians bustle about the Wingwatch base. Meanwhile, the Archmages meet frequently to discuss the state of Raydes... how did Wither to return so quickly? There must be some strange force behind it, no? The Archmages have their theories, but they need Alastor's spell to confirm them...

Bay Season
Sunlight streams through the many windows, illuminating displays of vibrant trinkets and curios. A brisk wind sets off some wind chimes in the distance, bringing with it scents of saltwater and blooming jasmine. Shark, with a perpetually cheerful grin, gestures towards a collection of glass baubles, some with colorful liquids bubbbling about inside. The entire shop is a chaos of shiny things... in the best possible way.
