The Iron Crucible
The Iron Crucible is Faia’s preeminent guild of blacksmiths and artificers combined. While their blacksmiths forge the most durable weapons, armor, and vital components for everything from airships to settlements, it is their mastery of enchantment that sets their products apart. The Guild’s artificers delve deep into the art of imbuing objects, fusing spells and magical properties into forged tools. The Iron Crucible is often referred to as ‘the Forge of Faia’ for their leading role in the Realm’s defense and innovation.

HIERARCHY & MEMBERSHIP
The Iron Crucible is co-led by a master smith and a master artificer. Beneath these two leaders, a small council of weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, etc. help to make decisions. Membership is somewhat exclusive, only open to blacksmiths and artificers who have demonstrated a significant level of skill. Membership is sometimes passed down through families.
STANDING & FUNDING
The Iron Crucible’s products are highly valued for both their quality and magical enhancements. However, due to the exclusivity of their membership as well the generally intimidating air that their members give off, many Faians see the Crucible as elitist and arrogant. They are primarily funded through the sale of their crafted goods, as they are of extremely high quality and highly sought after by organizations such as the Adventurer’s Guild. Additional funding also comes from membership fees.
