rainbow showers in the sky

Duskie looks up at the skies and gasps.

ARE THOSE SHOOTING STARS!?

"Those are... a lot of shooting stars..."

I- DO I GET TO MAKE A WISH ON ALL OF THEM OR JUST ONE!? Duskie's eyes widen as he realizes he has no idea what to do right now! He looks up at the skies and screams, causing Sprout to squeak and run into a nearby bush. Velvet looks at him with a look of annoyance.

"DUSKIE, NO SCREAMING! Obviously, you get to wish on all of them- wait, no, we all share them! I think I saw five of them in the sky, so that means you, me, our edgy alternate self, and our pets each get one!"

"... Knight."

"What's that, alternate demon me? You know what you did earlier, even if Duskie doesn't."

"Listen here, foolish alternate self. I was justified and the fact that you refuse to see it was-"

"'Justified'? Honestly, who harbors a grudge against a critter?!"

OK! MY WISH IS THAT THE THREE OF US ALL GET ALONG FROM NOW ON!

"That's a good wish. My wish is that the three of us start being smart! Or at least, that we're not stupid..."

"I wish to resummon the traitor so that-"

"bad wish. you're gonna make the yearning worse."

"- I may slay him yet again."

Duskie turns to look at Velvet and Sprout, the latter popping its head out of a bush and looking at Duskie with a look of... fear?

"... I'm sorry I screamed, Sprout." Duskie says, and Sprout calms down at once. "Anyways- since we all five saw these shooting stars, we all get a wish each! What do you two want to wish for?"

Sprout pauses and looks up at the sky, confused. Velvet, meanwhile, seems to already know what it should wish for, and nods.

Duskie smiles, and goes to look back up at the sky- "IS THAT ANOTHER FIVE SHOOTING STARS!?"

After being overheard by a fellow Faian and having Cometfall explained to him, Duskie looks back up at the night sky to see seven shining meteors, all different colors in the sky- making a perfect rainbow of color.

The sight brings a tear to his eye. "It's... it's beautiful..." He says. Velvet lets out a soft purr in agreement, and Sprout baa's in response. "I love it. I love Cometfall... If only we could go up and fly up there to be among the comets..."

"... Didn't the person explaining this mention an airship?"

What's that?

"... Probably a ship that sails the skies instead of the sea? Just like how a spaceship goes way past the skies and-"

A loud BANG! interrupts Knight, and Duskie swivels his head at once, allowing both of them (and their alternate demon self, of course) to see through Duskie's eyes that- that was a rooftop. That just got hit by a comet.

"I THOUGHT THAT THERE WERE SPELLS FOR THAT!?" Duskie yells, looking up at the tall roof above him.

"The spell's failing. Prepare for comets until someone goes to refresh it-"

"DON'T WORRY!" Someone yells. "THE ROOF'S JUST HIGH!"

"... Or I guess some places are just OUT OF THE SPELL RADIUS!? 'Oersted, stay in the spell radius!' 'Oersted, stay within the shield or you're gonna die!' but here we can just BUILD OUTSIDE OF THE SPELL NO PROBLEM-"

"Can I help you fix that!?" Duskie asks.

"SURE, IF YOU KNOW HOW!"
