Through skill prompts, your characters can explore and develop their personal interests, with 20 total skills to choose from! Your character's skill stats can be found in the bottom tab of their ML entry, next to [stats] and [description].

Mechanics

All characters start out with skills 'not unlocked' (level 0). To become proficient at a skill, the character must reach level 3, which requires completing the respective skill prompt three times (one submission for each sub-prompt, see more info below). For example, if I wanted my character to become proficient at Farming, I would complete the Farming prompt with them three times. Note that only you can level up your own characters' skills!

Skill leveling prompts

Within each skill prompt, three levels of 'sub-prompts' are provided, so that each of your three submissions are unique. To become proficient, you must complete each sub-prompt once, in order.

1. [First completion, level 0 -> 1] Draw your character's first encounter with [SKILL], or how they first became interested in learning it.
2. [Second completion, level 1 -> 2] Draw your character practicing or learning about [SKILL].
3. [Third completion, level 2 -> 3] Draw how your character uses [SKILL] in their life, now that they have become proficient at it.

Note that only one character can receive a skill level from each prompt submission, so even if your piece includes multiple, only the focus character will level up their skill. Once a character has completed all three sub-prompts, their skill should be at level 3, signifying proficiency! They can now take on jobs from the Bulletin Board (more info below).

Submission instructions

Progress (X/3) for each skill is marked by the level of the skill.

When completing the next skill sub-prompt for your character, make sure to set your character to Focus character so that the skill EXP distributes properly. Please also keep each sub-prompt submission separate to avoid confusion. You are allowed to redo sub-prompts, but you will not receive a skill level.

Submission instructions are also attached to each prompt.

Once a character becomes proficient (skill lvl 3) at a skill, they unlock the ability to take on jobs from the Bulletin Board! There is no limit on how many skills a character can become proficient at.

BASICS

Prompts on the Bulletin Board rotate monthly, featuring 12 unique prompts per rotation. Each prompt requires proficiency (skill lvl 3) in a certain skill to complete, and is limited to one completion per rotation. Completion of Bulletin Board prompts rewards more wisps than standard monthly/seasonal prompts!

Skill markers

 To tell which skill a job requires at a glance, look at the skill marker: the emoji at the front of the prompt name. The emoji will correspond with the emoji at the front of the required skill prompt name. The required skill will also be listed in the description of the prompt.
